Tenuta Montenisa

Marchese Antinori
Ein schöner Sonnentag über den Rebbergen der Tenuta Montenisa, welches zur Familiendynastie Antinori gehört

In the beautiful countryside of the Lombardy wine-growing region, the Antinoris press sparkling wine à la Champagne.

Do you drink only champagne, just on principle? Then you have undoubtedly never tasted a Franciacorta from Tenuta Montenisa! We should urgently make amends ... The production process is the same as that of its great French forebear: the base wines, made from the Pinot nero, Pinot bianco and Chardonnay grape varieties, are fermented a second time in the bottle and then matured on the fine lees, the rosé for two years and the white Donna Cora Satèn for four years. The result? Wonderfully complex, elegant and fresh wines with unmistakable style, plenty of finesse, real class – and for festive occasions.

Tenuta Montenisa, with its 60 hectares of vines, is a beautiful old estate nestled in the rolling hills of Franciacorta. The heart of the Tenuta is the little Romanesque church of Santo Stefano and the 16th-century Palazzo Maggi. In 1999, the owners, the Conti Maggi, transferred management of the estate to the Marchesi Antinori. Since then, the cellars have been modernised and Montenisa has become one of the most interesting estates in the appellation.
