Tenuta Le Macioche

With their Brunello, the Cotarella cousins are taking on the greats of the region.

It is the first project under the aegis of the new management team at Famiglia Cotarella. Dominga, Marta and Enrica Cotarella, the daughters of renowned winemakers Riccardo and Renzo Cotarella, proved to have the golden touch – not to mention courage – when they bought the Le Macioche winery, idyllically situated in the heart of Tuscany.

On their seven-hectare bijou of a vineyard they exclusively cultivate Sangiovese, the grape for the legendary Brunello. So the Cotarella cousins are taking on the greats of the Montalcino wine region. And they have nothing to fear! Their wines are truly royal and enhance every dish in the most beautiful way.

If Le Macioche was the young trio’s first coup, then yes, we look forward to the future of the soon-to-be 30-year-old winery.
