Serego Alighieri

The Alighieri family has relied on the support of the renowned Masi winery since the 1970s.
This historic winery, a tenuta straight out of a fairy tale, is run by Conte Pieralvise di Serego Alighieri and his daughter Massimilla, descendants of the great poet and philosopher Dante Alighieri. The author of the Divine Comedy had to flee his home town of Florence due to political turmoil and spent several years in exile on the Casal dei Ronchi estate, which his son was finally able to buy in 1353.
Today, the estate makes a name for itself with its wines, as it is known for its typical Valpolicella specialities. From Recioto to the renowned Amarone: sensuous wines made from dried grapes that exude a poetry all of their own. The well-known Veronese Amarone house Masi is a guarantee of the highest quality in wine production and distribution.
