Produttori del Barbaresco

Founded more than 60 years ago, the Piedmontese winemaking cooperative now consists of around 50 families.
Strength lies in unity. This was a familiar concept to the village priest in the hamlet of Barbaresco. In 1958, he was able to bring 19 winemaking families together and establish a winemaking cooperative. The first vintages were produced in the cellar of the church. Today, 50 families make up the Produttori del Barbaresco.
Together, they manage 100 hectares of vines, all planted with a single variety: the magnificent Nebbiolo. The cooperative has long been known as one of the best, not just in Italy but in the entire world! Year on year, it produces an excellent basic Barbaresco at a fabulously affordable price, and in very good years it also makes nine top-quality wines from the historic crus. They all impress with their style, class and wonderful elegance.
