The team
Rexhep Jefkaj
Managing Director
I developed my passion for gastronomy when I was just 15 years old, back when I was working as a temporary employee at an Italian restaurant in Kerzers, a town in the Canton of Fribourg in western Switzerland. It was there that I fell in love with Italian culture and cuisine. In 2011 I began my journey with Bindella, which has taken me from the Kornhauskeller to the Waisenhaus to Verdi and then to the Bindella Restaurant in Solothurn. But it was Verdi that really stole my heart, and now I am drawn back to this special place.
When you are managing an establishment named after Giuseppe Verdi, you have a duty to deliver the highest level of quality and authenticity. The unique ambience at Ristorante Verdi fills me with pride. Through my passion and dedication, together with my whole team, I endeavour to create memories that our guests will cherish for a long time.
Sajme Limani
Chef de cuisine
I am originally from Macedonia, but I grew up in Italy – two cultures that have deeply influenced my love of cooking. Four years ago, life brought me to Switzerland, where I started as a cook at Ristorante Più. Thanks to my passion and a lot of hard work, I advanced to the position of sous-chef. In February 2024 I transferred to Verdi, and then in September I had the good fortune to become chef de cuisine here. Creating new dishes, combining different flavours and surprising our guests with unique taste experiences – this is what drives me day in and day out.
