I have always loved ristoranti where guests are laughing, the aroma of good food is in the air and the atmosphere is lively and upbeat. My path led me from office work to working as a waiter to having my own restaurant in Spiez. Now I am very happy to be with Bindella and since the middle of November 2024 I have been excited to lead Trattoria Sempre. Why gastronomy? Because I love making people happy, celebrating good food and perfecting details. For me Trattoria Sempre is «casa mia», my home. A little bit of Italy in the middle of Bern: colourful, lively and welcoming. A place where the guests and the team feel equally at home.

Cooking is in my family’s blood. My grandmother instilled her passion for good food in me back when I was just a child – and now I am passing this love on and serving it up at Trattoria Sempre! I was born in Bogotá, Colombia, and found my way to Switzerland three years ago – first working at Più Kornhaus, then as sous-chef at Trattoria Sempre, and now as chef de cuisine here – and I am thrilled! What’s my thing? Italian cuisine in all its diversity. From hearty classics to fine delicacies – the most important thing is that it’s fresh, authentic and straight from Italy. The one thing I can’t do without: a hearty helping of paccheri al ragù!
