Born in Switzerland, but with roots in Sicily – it’s precisely this mix that has determined my path. From pizzaiolo to waiter to assistant manager, I have got to know the culinary world in many different facets. Today, I lead Santa Lucia in Zurich Niederdorf – with lots of energy, openness to new things and a strong dedication to Italian cuisine. I am truly passionate about cooking pizza and classic Italian dishes. What do I especially value about Bindella? The way people treat each other like family and the history that is behind each ristorante.

No matter how much I have travelled – working first as a chef at a famed Italian restaurant in Germany, later in various hotels in the mountains of Switzerland – somehow I keep returning to my Calabrian roots. And of course at Bindella I am free to indulge this penchant for Italianità to my heart’s content! Ragù alla calabrese, fileja con nudja e pecorino, schiacciata piccante – these are my specialities. I have been chef de cuisine at Santa Lucia Niederdorf since 2016 and I like the passion that comes with working here.
