Before I joined Ristorante Amalfi, I earned my stripes at renowned hotels and first-class restaurants in Europe as maître d’hôtel. Besides my technical expertise, there is one thing that always stays with me: my sense of hospitality. As a native Sardinian, it is in my blood.

For me, Switzerland is a family affair – even though I am from Italy, specifically from the province of Como. It was here that I earned my degree in hotel management in 1990, and gained my first experience in real-life gastronomy. But north of the Alps is where I found my wife on the one hand – and Bindella on the other. I have remained loyal to both, though since my first position as a cook at Cantinetta Antinori I have had the opportunity to peek behind the scenes at some other «Famiglia» operations: my current position, my seventh, is at Ristorante Amalfi…
